there are just too many behind the scenes shots that i want to share from the
RED ASSASSiN video editorial that i styled for
FILLERmagazine, so, i'm breaking it up into two parts.
we used one thousand balloons for this shoot, or at least we tried to. it was a mix of helium and air balloons and a few popped along the way. God bless the team that helped prep for the shoot.

at one point we were running out of space to store the balloons without it going into the set space. there were quite a few casualties; i think we ended up with 950 balloons when we were done.

that's just the balloons with no helium... it was very tempting to dive in the middle of them and hide out.

on the left, henry sampson (director of photography) and on the right,
javier lovera (director/photographer) throwing up a dove; setting up the camera and walking through the shots while we're getting the model ready.

a close up shot of the buckled christian loutboutin boots i pulled. "you are so beautiful, to me... (hey, notice a popped balloon in the background next to the mac?)

ms. laura kell of
next models. she had pushed back her departure date so she could do this shoot with us. she was amazing.
if you've seen the video i'm sure you'd agree. most models are used to doing one pose at a time but it's the movement in between each pose, each emotion and action that obviously sets her apart from the rest.

the hair and makeup duo that is grace lee (makeup) and
aniya nandy (hair, plutino group).

the finished product. well done ladies, well done.

after i got laura dressed in her first look the creative director (
ryan johnson) suggested that her lips be made black to add to the severity of her look. i think it was a good move.

by far this jacket was my favourite piece in the entire collection of clothing that i pulled. do i need to explain why?

the chie mihara boots worn with leather leggings by
nada. love.

that's all i have for now but part 2 will be all the bts shots from when filming began. i'll be including some video too.
stay tuned.
